Our Story

Thun’s Buns and Jams is owned and managed by former chef, Travis Thun. Born and raised in Southern California, and relocated to Georgia in his childhood- Travis found his passion for cooking along the journey in his early professional career as a sous chef in prestige kitchens. After 10 years in the grueling industry, he began dreaming of another outlet for his creativity and passion in culinary arts. Ironically enough, one of his favorite quick snacks are peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The aha-moment came to life after being disappointed by the additives and questionable ingredients and freshness of grocery store jellies and jams. So began the process of bringing Thuns Buns and Jams to life.

After months of developing unique recipes for jams and baked goods, Travis established his business in 2019 and went out with a bang. Despite the 2020 pandemic slowing business down, Travis took the additional time to continue developing new jams, pickled goods, candies.. and buns! To this day, all the goods made with care by Travis are done at the Thuns home kitchen and sold across Georgia in farmers markets, fairs, and festivals. Alongside Travis is his partner-in-crime, Audrey, who helps prepare and pack jams, manages the social channels, and attends all fairs and events with Travis to share the love of Thuns Buns and Jams.
